The word is even...curious. Don't you think?
What does curiosity mean? What does it mean to be curious? Can animals be curious? Are we all curious?
Wonderopolis let's kids ask curious questions--and attempts to answer them! What is a curious question?
Well, perhaps a curious question is a question that you've been thinking about. Perhaps, it is a question that, of course, you don't know the answer to, but it is a subject you've been wondering about. The thing has been on your mind and you don't know the answer, but it nags at you and then becomes...well, curious.
The Oxford Dictionary describes curiosity in this way:
cu·ri·os·i·ty - /ˌkyo͝orēˈäsədē/
- 1.a strong desire to know or learn something:"filled with curiosity, she peered through the window. "synonyms"
- 2.a strange or unusual object or fact:"he showed them some of the curiosities of the house. "synonyms"
Are you filled with curiosity about a subject? Do you have a strong desire to know more about something? Is there a strange or unusual object or fact out there that you want to know about?
Well then, perhaps, you can find the answer at Wonderopolis.org. Have you explored there lately?
And, if you don't find the answer you are looking for, then ask your curious question right HERE.
Be curious. Ask and learn. :)
